Anita Ross is coined the Self-Love Expert because she’s on a mission to empower millions of women to love themselves fully, awaken to their worth and ultimately, live the life of their dreams.
Anita’s life path has taken her through unique experiences that have allowed her to discover her purpose early in life. She knows firsthand the struggles that women face with low self-esteem, gender discrimination, body image pressures and domestic violence.
She teaches women and teen girls the breakthrough principles and practices that she used to rescue herself from the quicksand of low self esteem and victim mentality to skyrocket herself to the mountaintop of total self acceptance and unconditional love. Her background as an engineer in Corporate America, an entrepreneur, the founder of a not-for-profit organization and a Life Coach all add to the rich experience she brings to her workshops, retreats and clients.Since 2006, Anita has been serving women and teen girls from all walks of life including, but not limited to, those of Women Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE, Inc.), My Sister’s House, La Casa De Las Madres, Stockton County Foster Education Program, California State Foster Parent Association, San Mateo Human Services Agency, San Joaquin Delta College, Solano College Umoja Program Scholars, Consumes River College, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., Susan G. Komen and 51%, the women’s group at the renowned advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy. She is the author of two self-help books for women, “Mean Time Love: A Woman’s Journey From Self-Loathe to Self-Love” and “Mean Time Love: So I’ve Got Self-Love, Now What?” She is currently touring the country with her Mean Time Love talks, workshops and retreats.
In 2016, Anita founded the grassroots organization, Women For Equality, that informs, inspires and empowers people to stand up for love and equality. She leads this growing organization in mobilizing through rallies, marches, protests, phone banking, events, joining forces or whatever is necessary, to ultimately achieve a world that works for everyone. Through her work with Women For Equality she leads a leadership team comprised of dedicated volunteers and together they have organized key events such as the Women Stand Up For Equality rally, the Women Stand Up For the Soul of America rally and the Racial Healing in America conference.
Anita earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Stony Brook University in New York. She also holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan at Dearborn. Her professional work also includes holding key leadership, project management, strategic planning, operations, design, analytical and advisory positions over her ten year career for various Fortune 500 companies in Corporate America.
Anita is married to author, radio personality, inspirational speaker and ordained minister, Kevin Kitrell Ross. Together they reside in Sacramento, California with their two daughters and a son.
